The Ringling Museum is a perfect place to visit in summer. It is an ideal place for people of all ages to experience the former home of John and Mabel Ringling. The Ringling museum boasts the lavish art collection of John and Mabel, along with international artists and a rotating gallery of artists. 

In addition, it is an excellent place for families where they will tour the mansion, experience the interactive circus, explore the art gallery, and learn about the Sarasota’s history. If you want to spend some time outside, explore the stunning grounds and sit in Mabel’s famous rose garden.

  1. Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

If you are looking to include some eco-friendly activities this summer, you can’t ignore visiting the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, offering a peaceful, serene, and calm environment. The garden has a wide range of flora and fauna species that will spruce up vacation and enhance your mood.

It also has a toddler-friendly area, allowing them to have a great experience. After your kids play in the warm weather, they would want to cool off at the Fountain Splash pad.

Spending an entire day at Siesta Key Beach will soothe your mind and soul. It is one of the best beaches in the world with crystal clear water and soft, white quartz sand. The sand stays cool, saving you some uncomfortable barefoot moments. 

The parking at the beach is free and there are many  amenities from showers to changing rooms. Additionally, Siesta Key Beach is within walking distance to the Siesta Key Village, where you can enjoy local restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

  1. Walk the John Ringling Causeway

The John Ringling Causeway is a perfect spot to add some outdoor exercise to your day. Walk or run the bridge overlooking the Sarasota skyline for breathtaking views and an active day. At nighttime, the bridge is lit up in vibrant hues, making for the perfect after-dinner activity.
